In 2015 Wiki Loves Africa took place from 1st October to the 30th November 2015. The 2015 competition resulted in over 7500 image uploads to Commons around the theme Cultural Fashion and Adornment. The photo contest entries were reviewed by a panel of experts, which collectively, identified a Best of Images from Wiki Loves Africa 2015 from the contest. You can see the entire competition and the entries here.
The theme was Cultural Fashion and Adornment with the competition scope focussed on media that showed representations of cultural dress and fashion; specifically fashion that is defined by local cultural influences and determines cloth, styles, ways of wrapping and hanging, etc. Adornment was also part of the theme, which means that media of culturally defined jewellery, make-up, hairstyles and headdresses, cloths, scarification and tattoos, woven materials, etc. could also be entered.
